On Sunday 1st June, a wine tasting event was held at the Scott's villa, it was attended by 44 enthusiastic wine tasters. After an initial drink or 2 there was an opportunity to taste 6 different wines, presented by Anett the owner of Berdissimo wine bar in Monte Carvoeiro. During the tasting, light snacks were served to cleanse the pallet, followed by a Tapas fare prepared by Alison. Everyone appeared to have a great time, taking the opportunity to mingle with friends and socialise with good food and free flowing wine (40 bottles to be precise) and beer.

Following the wine tasting, a raffle was held, which was wine tasting for 2 at Berdissimo wine bar, kindly donated by Anett. This was won by Les Smith, who's wife Jackie sold him the ticket, say no more! In total, we raised 485 euro on the day for the Captain's charity, which is Madrugada, a big thank you to everyone that contributed.

There were a number of people that worked hard to make the day very special, firstly Alsion, who had been cooking for 3 days, Simon & Christine Arnes for their support, Pat & Steph O'Reilly for staffing the bar, Chris & Jackie for selling the raffle tickets and finally to Christine, Uli Byrne and Bernie Kilbride for washing up all the dishes and glasses.
