Firstly, thank you to so many of you for entering today’s competition and for making the day so enjoyable and memorable. It was lovely to see so many happy smiling faces, I am sure from the kind feedback that you all enjoyed the drinks and nibbles at Patricia´s cart. Judging by all the photos I have seen a good time was had by all! Didn´t Patricia & her mum do a great job for us all!

On behalf of all the club members, I’m sure you would like to join me once again thanking captain Keith , supported by Alison for doing such a fantastic job throughout his tenure, he has been an outstanding contributor to the club ,for many years, and I’m sure that they will both continue to help the club going forward.

Well done to Marijke & Andy the nearest pin winners today, the results from the competition will be sent out by Eddie in the normal way. Once again a big thank you to Eddie for all his hard work.

Thank you for your generosity in supporting what I consider our clubs charity contribution, whilst it’s always referred to as the captain's charity, it is you the members that make our contribution which is so important. Once again, I’d like to thank Jackie and Chris, who do such a great job getting us all to contribute, also to Denise, Richard, Wendy, Peter & Mags and all the Pestana team for all your help.

As you know we have decided to continue supporting Madrugada , Keith has kindly agreed to be the clubs, charity champion, and will continue to liaise with Madrugada on our behalf. we will therefore continue to use the Revolut bank account set up by Keith last year. Today we raised €904.50 so a great start to the year, Beatrice kindly donated her winnings for correctly guessing the length of my drive to the charity fund.

I would like to thank Kevin Bell in advance for organising the bowling in Albufeira on the 19th April , there are still places available, so please sign up on the website. I hope this will encourage more members to come up with ideas for social events throughout the year.

Shortly you will be able to register for my Captains away day on the 24th July , once again we will be playing at Salgados, I have decided that we will also offer a lunch straight after the golf so we can do the presentation , this will give any non-golfers the chance to join their partners.

Thank you all for putting your trust in me to be this year's captain , I am honoured to hold the role , together I am sure we will have a lot more memorable days like today.
