The President’s Event was held at the popular Casa do Avo in Guia late on Sunday afternoon, 14th
June, following the successful but windy competition the day before.
Everyone was greeted with a wide selection of welcome drinks and canapés on the outside
terrace.
Before the meal the presentations were made, including a gift to Richard Emrich for his service to
the club as President for the last 3 years as well as the prizes for the President’s Cup competition.
The evening then began in earnest with an outstanding array of starters from the buffet, followed
by a barbecue with an excellent range of meats, fish and salads all washed down with plenty of
wine.

The music was provided by the outstanding 33lm who judged their audience well and played

music to suit everyone. Almost everyone made it onto the dance floor.
The venue was intimate and allowed for a wonderful atmosphere which was enjoyed by all.
