What a wonderful day at the golf club !

 Wonderful to see so many members making some attempt to wear team colours.

Wonderful to hear that so many members (everyone?) enjoyed themselves.

Wonderful to hear that there were so many tight matches, in all 3 formats.

Wonderful that the match overall was so close .... well no .... actually .... it wasn't.

Historians of this competition will know that it often promises a close match early on, and then one side runs away with it. After the first 7 results came in Europe had a small lead having scored 14.5 points to USA's 13.5. Out of the next 10 matches, USA won 8 matches, Europe none, and with 2 matches halved !!!

I am not sure , but I think 42 to 26 may be the heaviest defeat ever.

 But you know what was the most wonderful thing of all ??

 I didn't take a roll call, but I estimated that 52 of the 68 members who played were still there for the presentation at the end.

You created a great club atmosphere, which was so nice to see. Thank you so much for your participation, and support.
