Today saw the inaugaral running of The Foundation Cup.
With 25 participants, who had qualified throughout the year, competing for the trophy there was tremendous anticipation in the clubhouse before the event started.

Under grey skies but with some sunshine the scoring was good. With the course in great condition and the greens running very well it was a true test of golf.
The eventual winner was the only player to break his handicap.With a very creditable 37 Dave Brennan (6.2) played some fantastic golf. Despite a dodgy hamsting and a very questionable support stocking he continued to hit fairways and greens in regulation.
Best Lady was Lynn Cook and this month's medal winner Gerald Wadley and Bob Coe both put in very good cards.
Over 40 members enjoyed a very good lunch in the clubhouse afterwards.
