Saturday saw the final putt of leaving Captain Steve Edwards and the first Drive of New Captain Geoff Cox. In front of a good contingent of members who had gathered around the 18th green Steve managed to roll his last putt to within a few feet.

Geoff generously conceded it to save any unnecessary embarassment and we all promptly marched to the first tee upon which Geoff teed the same ball up, and to gasps of amazement, smashed a thunderous drive straight down the middle. This now officially marks the start of the new Captains tenure and all the members wished him well.
