The Final game of the Vacs Trophy was played yesterday at Alto Golf Club with 40 ladies taking part.  It was a lovely sunny day and everyone enjoyed their game and the meal which followed the game.  A big thank you to all the ladies who have supported this event and we look forward to next year,s games when we hope to do a little better. 

However, congratulations to Sandy Rumfitt who figured in the individual prizes with her fantastic 37points.  The team scores yesterday were Alto 185, SDM 171, Vila Sol 160 and Carvoeiro Club 151.  It was thought that Carvoeiro Club could not be caught in the Overall standings but due to their poor scores yesterday they were pipped at the post by Alto Club by 3 points.  They must have been bitterly disappointed but the scores were really close.  The final scores and positions were Alto Club 667 Carvoeiro Club 664, Vila Sol 649 and SDM 642.  Alto Club were presented with the Trophy given by Lynn Cook of SDM which they retain for 1 year and were also presented with a Momento for their Trophy Cabinet.  It was thought it was a very successful competition and to be repeated for future years.
