A day of changeable weather greeted the Members and guests for this year's Presidents Day. George Cook was up early at the Clubhouse to welcome the players, the dark clouds and occasional rumble of thunder did nothing to deter the general good feeling for the day.

All 15 groups started on time, with the only exception the unfortunate Ingrid Helsen who badly injured her finger in the car park and had to withdraw.

The half way house was a welcome pit stop, with the sun now shining and the temperature rising the cold drinks and snacks were well received.

On arrival back at the clubhouse a delicious plate of chicken and chips was served and accompanied by the usual hard luck stories!

Nearest the pin prizes were won by Marieke Hofmann, Arthur Greenwood, Myra McGill and Paul Spalling.

First Place went to Jimmy Goodfellow, Dave Brewster and guests Mike Askew and Steve Parrett

Winners of the Presidents Trophy were Stu McGill, Judi Murphy, Maz McGill and Jimmy Cruz.
