Monday 19th January saw the latest round of the Fermon Trophy, this time the SDM home game at Silves. Competitors were faced with tough condition with a stiff, cold wind blowing throughout the round but despite that there was some good golf played. It was probably the closest game in Fermon Trophy history with only 1 (one) point separating all four team. Winners on the day were Vila Sol with 176 points, the other three teams (Carvoeiro,SDM and Alto) were tied in second place with 175. Alto helped by a best of the day performance of 42 by one of their pairs.

All of the SDM team performed well with all scores in the thirties - good in the conditions! Peter & Marja Chapman led the way with 38 points;  other SDM scores were:
