A party of 35 SDM golfers, accompanied by 5 non-playing guests/partners, recently enjoyed 4 nights at the Quinta da Marinha Golf Resort, on the outskirts of Cascais. Threatened heavy rain, hailstones, and lightning never materialised (except at night). The golf course was tough – especially on the first day – but those who persevered eventually produced some good scores :-

The Peter Lawrence trophy was gratefully returned by Eddie Kassner, with Di deciding this year’s worthy recipient would be Dave Tweed. Good luck Dave (and trusted sidekick John Hall).

A day off between rounds was enjoyed by members at a variety of places, including Cascais, Sintra, Azenhas do Mar, Ericeira and another Pestana resort, Beloura.
And reminiscing about the previous tour to El Rompido, on this occasion there were no downpours and flooding reported on the way home!
