The walk starts from Sitio do Forno restaurant 53FV+Q8, Raposeira, Portugal, there is plenty of parking outside the restaurant. We will meet at 10:45 and start the walk at 11:00, the walk is approximately 7KM and relatively flat, on route, we will stop in Carrapateira for a refreshment and convenience break.
The restaurant does not open until 12:30, so there are no facilities on the site before the start of the walk. If you would like to arrive earlier and have refreshments then there are a number of establishments at Prias do Amado, which is a short drive from the start point.
Walking boots are advisable, however, sturdy walking shoes or trainers (with good grips) will be OK. As we are stopping for lunch you should not require food for the walk, however, it is advisable to take plenty of liquid.
Please note that the walks organised by SDM or their representatives are done so on a voluntary basis and the club or organisers cannot be held responsible for your personal safety.
Lunch
Lunch has been booked for 30 people at Sitio do Forno restaurant, hopefully 5 tables of 6, but this could not be guaranteed. Food & drink choices will be from the menu, with everyone paying for what they consume. There are cheap and expensive items on the menu, so please agree with the people that you sit with how the bill is to be split.
