It is normal practice that the person on top of the draw contacts the person below below to arrange the game, but it would be preferable if the players contact each other as soon as possible.

A beautiful day at a beautiful golf course is what greeted the 48 players from the various Pestana clubs in this third round of the Quattro Club Challenge. The joint top scorers today were Serra de Monchique and Alto who both amassed 188 points. Carvoeiro (181) and Vila Sol (167) came third and fourth respectively.

Saturday saw the final putt of leaving Captain Steve Edwards and the first Drive of New Captain Geoff Cox. In front of a good contingent of members who had gathered around the 18th green Steve managed to roll his last putt to within a few feet.

On a glorious first day of the year the challenge match between the New Captain Geoff Cox and the 2012 Captain Steve Edwards ended in a victory for the new incumbent. Although the match ended 4-3 the result was never in doubt as the four of the first five matches all went the way of the winners.

The first meeting of the VACS Trophy took place at Vila Sol on Monday 3rd December. It was a glorious Sunny Day and the event was extremely successful. Everyone enjoyed meeting players from the Pestana Courses and made new friends. Many thanks to all the SDM Ladies who played. It was unfortunate that due to illness Alto had only 7 ladies and S.D.M. had 9 ladies but thanks to Vila Sol and Carvoeiro Club who had a few reserves we were able to make up the numbers.
