SdM started their season with a loss at Vila Sol. The score: 3½ : 1½
Thankfully the weather stayed dry, the matches were mostly close and congratulations to Mike Carr and Ray Groves for their win.
The fourth round of the Fermon Trophy, now known as the Quattro Cup was held yesterday at Vila Sol. Our team did brilliantly to win on the day, we are still lying third overall with second place within reach.

Today was the second round of the Ladies VACS Trophy. Held on a lovely sunny day at Silves Golf course. The Course was in immaculate condition and the scoring was very close indeed. Serra de Monchique had the best 5 from the 10 cards submitted with a Total of 171. In joint second place with 167 was Vila Sol and Alto and in 4th place was Carvoeiro Club with 166. The Winning individuals were Sue Williamson Carvoeiro Club with 38pts, Eileen Groves Serra De Monchique 38pts, Paulette Usher Ato 36pts, Annie Chapman Alto 36pts and Linda Grindley Vila Sol 35pts. The prizes were all Porches Pottery and everyone had a lovely afternoon. The next round is on 22nd February at Gramacho Club. Please let Lynn Cook if you wish to play.
